Details: | John called about a repeat sample collected on June 21st was E. coli positive. It was collected at the same site as the routine sample collected on June 20th that was also E. coli positive. No upstream, downstream repeats or triggered source sample were collected. Jerry Tripp and Dan Jaffe with the water system were notified to distribute a boil water notice to customers. Sarah Schwab with the Department of Agriculture was also notified to inform the Tygh Valley General Store. The water system will be chlorinated tomorrow evening. Three additional samples will be collected on Monday next week including a source sample. NCPHD will follow up with the water supplier on corrective action and follow up sampling to lift the boil water notice. Lifted 06/27/2018: Follow-up samples taken on 6-26-18 all showed absent. The operator will lift the boil water advisory. Operator to sample routines in early July. |
