| Details: | Contractor broke a waterline today (4/20) and approximately 18 homes on North Butte Street were out of water due to the loss in positive pressure. The City isolated the impacted area shortly afterward, with the rest of the City receiving adequate service pressure, and not impacted by issue. City going door to door to issue boil water notices to all 18 homes, with a message on next door.com. City following BMPs (fixing leak/pipe, restoring adequate service pressure, flush, verify chlorine residuals, then collect coliform sample(s)). City will notify DWS upon receipt of sample results to lift boil notice.
Update 4/20: Water system back online and pressure is restored, coliform samples taken and results will be sent to DWS when completed by lab. Lifted 04/22/2020: advisory is lifted after pressure was restored and coliform sample results came back negative. Customers have been notified. |
