Details: | I called Steve and informed him of the boil water advisory. I am mailing him the public notice/boil advisory template. I will be in contact with Steve as they try to determine the source of the contamination and make corrections. I will also advise him on sampling requirements to lift the advisory. Lifted 02/08/2019: Chlorine for residual maintenance has been installed and WS reported 3 good coliform samples on February 7-8th. Boil water advisory now lifted. WS is still dialing in the chlorine residual and I reminded them to start recording it for the routine samples and at least 2 times a week in the distribution. Update 10/02/2018: Spoke with Steve and he said he is keeping the boil water advisory in effect until they install disinfection (by December 2018). I had previously told Steve to collect some extra samples to try and lift the advisory. He decided not to collect any extra samples but the routine samples for August and September are good. I asked Steve to reissue the public/boil water notice (since it has been 3 months since the initial advisory) and to provide a copy to me. Steve is currently looking for an engineer to get the disinfection project under way. |
