| Details: | I left a voice mail for Mr. Caruso to contact me. I spoke to Sara at Edge Analytical. She stated three repeat distribution samples and the triggered source were submitted on Friday 9/25/20 and the results for all samples are coliform and e-coli positive. SDWIS states the system has UV disinfection but I have not determined if the UV is the type that receives disinfection credit. The last TC+ for this system was in 2006. The operator indicated that the UV system is off-line. The operator has posted a boil water notice he said he got from the DEQ website. I am sending him a Tier one boil notice template to compare with what he has. If they are not similar he was instructed to post the DWP template and return it to me. The operator was instructed to submit 5 confirmation samples from the source.
10/19/20 Left a voice mail for the operator. We discussed resampling the distribution system once the UV was put back on line. The unit was repaired approximately two weeks ago. Waiting for confirmation if sampling occurred. Lifted 11/17/2021: In consultation with Region 2 technical staff I am removing the boil water notice. Deficiencies from the level 2 investigation have been completed. Quarterly distribution samples are absent for bacteria and 8 of the required 12 assessment monitoring samples are also absent for bacteria. I communicated this to the operator via e-mail. |
