| Details: | A boil water notice was issued due to E. coli positive repeats and source water samples collected on January 18th. The systems operator is hand delivering the public notice to customers. This is a non-chlorinated water system. Recently, the yearly flushing of the water system was done. The source of E. coli is not known at this time. The local lab is closed on Friday, so he will collect the 5 source water confirmation samples on Monday. I advised the operator to postpone shock chlorinating the well and water system until the confirmation source samples have been collected. Lifted 01/26/2018: After the water system shock chlorinated the well and flushed the chlorine through the distribution system 3 samples were pulled. One from the well and 2 in distribution all were absent for coliforms. The water system was able to lift the Boil Water Notice on 1-26-18 in the mid afternoon. |
