| Details: | The water system had collected its regular monthly coliform bacteria sample on 1/11/21. It was positive for total coliform. Three repeat samples and one source sample were collected on 1/14/21. Two of the repeat (distribution) samples came back positive. One for total coliform and one for E. coli. The system was placed on a boil water notice. The system is investigating possible contamination source(s).
On 1/15/21, the water system collected four samples in the distribution system. Two of the samples had total coliform. The boil notice remains in place. System will do a chlorine dose and flush. When the chlorine is out of the system, follow up samples will be collected. Lifted 01/21/2021: The water system performed a chlorine dose in the storage reservoir followed by flushing. Free chlorine residual was measured to ensure there was no remaining free chlorine prior to the follow up samples being taken. Four distribution coliform samples were collected on 1/20/21 and results were absent for coliform in all. The boil notice is therefore lifted. |
