| Details: | Operator contacted me this afternoon to report a broken water line that resulted in a loss of pressure. Yesterday, staff noticed water pressure significantly reduced and then eventually there was a complete loss of pressure. He will be meeting with a pump and leak detection company this week for diagnostic purposes. Facility will be closed until further notice . Discuss with him super chlorination of the well and distribution system and special coliform sampling prior to reopening. Update 02/19/2021: This morning I met with onsite manager. Repairs are ongoing though out the day. Review super chlorination procedure which will be conducted today into tomorrow. As a precaution this restaurant will continue to be on a Boil Water Advisory over the weekend. A coliform sample will be submitted on Monday to confirm that biological contamination is absent. Instruct manager to remove the ice from machine and to use only bagged ice over the weekend. Bottled water and carbonated soda will be brought in for consumption. A Boil Water Alert will be posted and staff will be informed of this situation prior to service. Lifted 02/23/2021: Over the weekend super chlorinating of distribution system conducted. Special coliform sample submitted yesterday. Test results are absent. |
