| Details: | City issued boil water notices by going door to door to between 50 and 60 homes in the eastern area of Washington Street at noon on 7/30. Contractor hit a water main on Washington Street today, causing a full loss in pressure for this affected area. The full loss of pressure was isolated, as adjacent users had water and are not part of this limited boil water notice. The waterline has been repaired, the area flushed, pressures are up, and the chlorine residual levels are around 0.8 to 0.9 parts per million. Three colfiform samples have been collected this afternoon, with results due in 24 hours, or by late Tuesday 7/31. City will contact DWS prior to lifting the notice to affected users. Lifted 07/31/2018: Luke called to notify DWS that all three coliform results are coliform absent. The localized boil water advisory is being lifted this afternoon. Residents will be notified to flush their internal plumbing. |
