Details: | The well for this water system (SRC=BA) stopped working during Easter weekend. To provide water, the system reconnected SRC-AB (a source with confirmed E. coli detections back in 2012). Matt with Hiland said the casing issues causing the contamination with SRC-AA were previously repaired but they issued a boil advisory as they are not disinfecting the source water. They plan to repair SRC-BA and continue to use SRC-AA. I asked Matt to send me a copy of their public notice and to make sure every resident has received a copy. He said they hung a notice on each door. Lifted 07/19/2021: OHS DWS informed me that the boil advisory could be lifted with negative coliform results (all have been negative since the well was reconstructed) and the monthly source assessment monitoring for one year is still needed. The WS has lifted the boil advisory and are notifying water users that the water is safe to drink and planning to proceed with permanent construction that will have space for chlorination if needed, but will not be installed at this time or during the year of assessment testing unless anything is detected |
