| Details: | Mike Paul, Columbia County Public Health Administrator, informed DWS on 8/8/18 that Western Hills Mobile Estates has issued a boil water notice to all residents on 8/7/18 due to a loss in positive pressure at the water system. The County has been receiving complaints of no drinking water at several connections, and received a copy of the written boil water notice on 8/7. There has been excessive water use resulting in a low water level in the large storage tank. The system will work with the County to follow best practices (restore service pressure, flush, obtain coliform absent samples) to lift the boil water notice. DWS to offer support to the County. Lifted 08/10/2018: Joel Ferguson, Columbia County Public Health Foundation, informed DWS on 8/10 that the water system has restored service pressure and obtained coliform absent samples from the distribution system. Consequently, the boil water notice has been lifted. Residents are being notified. |
