| Details: | System emailed on 6/14 that sodium hypochlorite feed pump pressure was lost on 6/13. Given loss of chlorine for required disinfection for surface water source, system issued a boil water notice for entire system on 6/14. Boil notice agrees with DWS procedure for complete loss in disinfection, especially here given only pipeline plug flow for contact time, no contact storage reservoir. System replacing chlorine feed pump today, will ensure adequate chlorine residuals at first user to meet required disinfection 1-log CTs, and in distribution, collect coliform sample(s), and consult with DWS prior to lifting boil water notice. Lifted 06/21/2021: Chlorine pump repaired, chlorine delivery back up, flushed, seeing 0.8 mg/L at entry point, adequate to meet CT, and detectable residual at far ends of system. Three coliform samples returned coliform absent this morning, so boil water notice being lifted today, 6/21. |
