Details: A finished water sample collected 6/2/21 showed manganese at 0.784 mg/L which is above the 0.3 mg/L health advisory level considered acute for infants under 6 months. Water system issued an advisory 7/14/21 in both english and spanish and sent a copy to OHA. Tap water should not be used to prepare bottles or food for infants under 6 months. The elderly and those with liver disease should also consider using an alternate source of water for drinking. Infants, the elderly, and those with liver disease should avoid food made with water (for example, soup). Do not boil water that you intend to drink (boiling can increase levels of manganese). The facility is providing bottled water from outside vendors at the location.
