| Details: | Astoria’s transmission line that feeds four of their purchasing water systems broke Friday. It was also repaired late Friday, but not before the following water systems lost water for under 12 hours. Astoria distributed boil notices for John Day and the other 3 water systems, and took 7 coliform samples that resulted negative for coliform. However, John Day will lift the boil advisories once they do their own coliform sampling. Lifted 01/31/2022: Only lifting now due to lack of responses from the water system after repeated attempts. Situation was ly resolved back in November. Update 11/17/2021: All 3 other water systems impacted by this outage appear to be all clear. Several coliform negative results. However, John Day is not responding to calls on their status. |
