| Details: | Received results from the follow-up bacteria samples and a nitrate sample. The source sample collected from the well tested present for total coliform, while the other samples from the distribution tested absent. Andria said the well sample tap was located near the well, but was on a line that tees to the irrigation system, which has not been used for months. The flushing done prior to collecting the source sample may have been inadequate. Discussed the rules for very small systems, which only require continuing quarterly monitoring for bacteria since there was no E. coli detection. Additional coliform samples may be collected, however, to monitor the water quality more closely. Also discussed the nitrate result of 7.48 mg/l. This was considerably higher than the 2021 result of 1.41 mg/L. Although not required, I suggested collecting a few quarterly nitrate samples to track the nitrate levels more closely. | ||
