Details: | Called Scott to inquire about the pressure loss in the system. Over the weekend they found out that the reservoir pumped itself dry and are currently trying to figure out why and how it happened. They are working with Emergency Manager Sheridan McClellan from The Dalles and Cory "last name unkown" from Bend. Bottled water is being distributed to the community and Cory from Bend is working toward filling containers with potable water. They had to let the reservoir recover because the water level fell below the pump level. Once it's recovered, they can conduct a water test to find the leak. A public notice has been posted to the community through phone and door to door posting. Scott will be submitting the notice to us for our records, which will then be forwarded to DMCE for their records as well. I let him know that before the boil water notice is de-activated, they will need to draw samples to confirm that the water quality is absent of contaminants prior to serving to customers and to let us know so that we can remove the boil water notice. *Scott emailed a copy of the notice that was issued. I told him that he needs to update the notice with the Boil Water Public Notice template that I sent him earlier in the day and send back to NCPHD.* |
