| Details: | Their August SWTR showed violations for both turbidity and disinfection standards. Specifically, their NTU was greater than 1.0 over 5% of the time and they did not meet CT for 8 days. Caleb explained that in taking over the water system, they replaced an electronic control so the water pump would turn on automatically (the previous owners ran it manually). It took the new operator a bit of time to get all adjusted correctly (chemical feed mixtures, etc.). Caleb reports that the treatment numbers are good for September so far, so maybe the operational hiccups have been resolved. He will also tell the new park manager, Jesse, to be sure to sign the monthly reports. In addition, Caleb is hiring a Roseburg company to design improvements to the system to make it more efficient, including improvements to the intake. I referred him to PR coordinator Jay MacPherson for insight on proposed options. | ||
