| Details: | Jeff called to inquire why he received a violation card. I explained that DBP IDSE monitoring was due in 2021. I sent him an email with the following information: Disinfection By-product monitoring (Stage 2 IDSE) is now required. You will need to pick two qualifying locations (IDSE1 and IDSE2) and collect a dual sample set (monitor for both TTHM and HAA5) from each site. Choose monitoring locations in the distribution where chlorine will have maximum residence time (dead ends or furthest away from the treatment point). The monitoring must occur in 2021 between June 1st and September 30th (July is recommended). Once the results are back, one of the two IDSE sites will be chosen for all future DBP monitoring. Please send the results to my email address at: gdeblase@co.marion.or.us . Now you will need to wait until July 2022 to collect these. Be sure and clearly identify the two sites you choose on the lab slip. Let me know if you have questions. |
