| Details: | Background/Problem Identification: Adam DeSemple, from OHA, requested circuit rider assistance for water storage sizing assistance at the City of St. Paul. Assistance Provided: Civil West worked with Cherry Haas to develop a spreadsheet to help estimate required water storage for the City of St. Paul. We assumed current average state-wide population percent increase of 0.5% in our projection. Required storage capacities in 20-, 40-, and 60-year planning horizons from 2022 were calculated. We also include an estimate for both minimum and maximum fire storage capacities, these are determined by square footage and building construction type and are beyond the scope of this simple analysis. The City should confer with their FD to determine which (min/max) is applicable based on building code and available hydrants near said structures. Please see the attached table for reference.
