| Details: | Nitrate result was 14.1 mg/L, over the MCL of 10.0 mg/L. High nitrate levels can have immediate health effects upon exposure. I spoke to the new pastor, Noble Weeks, who said there are already Do Not Drink notices posted. He suspects the result today is not from the well on their water system, but a well on a neighboring property that his water person said he was going to test. (If so, they need to be very careful in telling the lab this sample was not for a public water system.) I also pointed out that no GWR-4 log report was submitted for August. Noble did not know about those reports but said he would again ask his water system person about it. If they have the records of daily chlorine residual for Sept, they need to turn in that report form right away. If they have not been collecting it recently, they need to start recording the daily residual right away for the month of October. | ||
