| Details: | 10.04.2021-Jean reported that the RT sample for the month of October tested positive for TC bacteria. She was instructed to collect 3 RP samples and one TG source sample. 11.01.2021-I spoke with Jean over the phone. She informed that the she collected three additional samples on November 1, 2021. She thought these three additional samples were required the month following the initial TC+. I clarified that the system is on a monthly schedule so they only needed to collect 1 routine sample in November. Jean informed me that she already collected three temporary routine samples and one CO sample on 11.03.2021. With 3 temp routines-one EC+ and two TC+, DMCE issued an E.coli MCL violation. I informed Jean that Public Notice is required and I will need to complete a Leve 2 Coliform investigation. Jean believes the E. Coli positive sample is due to cross contamination during the sampling process. It was raining and very windy. Next steps: Post a boil water notice and complete L2 Coli. investigation. |
