| Details: | 03.16.2022-The system had a TTHM and HAA5 MCL exceedance in the 4th Quarter of 2021. I contacted Ryan to see if he had identified a possible cause and ways to prevent the issue from reoccurring. Ryan reported that he believes he found the root cause. The public works team worked on a leak just previous to Ryan taking the sample. The lines were flushed the same day Ryan took the sample, after the leak was repaired. During the flushing of the lines, some sediment broke free in the system and unfortunately this may have affected the sample Ryan collected. Ryan asked the public works team to flush very thoroughly again after receiving the high DBP sample results. Since this, the system collected DBP samples for the 1st quarter of 2022 and are still waiting for the results. If DBPs are still high, Ryan is considering changing a few processes to prevent high DBPs from reoccurring. |
