| Details: | Water system operator notified DWS that there was a positive total coliform detection in the distribution system on 3/18 at 305 E. Church. The operator is following up with repeat samples (original site, downstream and upstream) as well as source samples and will let DWS know the results when they are available. Operator noted that reservoir tank maintenance occurred in the past few weeks that probably stirred up debris and sediment that caused the recent +TC detections. 3/21/22 Update: Operator called to notify DWS that all repeat and triggered source water samples came back negative for total coliform as well as E. coli. Operator did work with OAWU for troubleshooting and confirmed that reservoir cleaning stirred up sediment that caused the +TC detections. Water system is in the process of flushing the distribution system. No further action needed. |
