| Details: | Jeff called here this morning. He is looking at tying the two systems together so he can stop using the well on the #2 system that has the high nitrates >MCL. I told him as long as the well with nitrates <MCL on the #1 system can produce enough water for the whole place, that was a good idea. He said he has eliminated the showers and laundry at the place, so he thinks the one better well will be adequate. He is looking to connect them together within a few weeks. He said he will let DWS know when the work is done so the #2 system can be inactivated, which would resolve the Administrative Order. The media in the nitrate treatment system was replaced, so the water should meet the standard in the interim. A nitrate sample was collected after the media was replaced. Lab report to be forwarded to DWS. | ||
