| Details: | Note: I did not clarify for Robert to wait to shock chlorinate the well prior to collecting the 5 confirmation samples, therefore I take responsibility for this possible misstep. - DO After a consultation with Casey Lyon (DWS), as the well had been shock chlorinated very shortly before, we decided that after several days once the water can be flushed to ensure the chlorine residual is gone, then at that time, the 5 confirmation samples may be collected. (Normally it would have been within 24 hours of notification of the e. coli result, if the shock chlorination did not occur) Robert asked about collecting the samples on Friday, as the lab would be closed on Saturday; I allowed this as long as all the chlorine residual can be flushed out by then. It should be noted that Robert mentioned that a check valve on the system appeared to be rusting/deteriorating. Western Hills MH Estates has a history of coliform issues at its source(s). |
