| Details: | Distribution samples for the water system have been testing positive for total coliform since June. Talked to Jeff Mondry on July 2, 2018 regarding positive sample collected on June 8, 2018. Informed Mr. Mondry that the system needed to collect repeat samples by June 19, 2018. Jeff Hedrick, new water system operator, contacted Drinking Water Services regarding violations for failure to collect temporary routine samples during the months of July and August. Informed Mr. Hedrick that he needs to collect three temporary routine samples. On October 1, 2018, Mr. Hedrick was contacted regarding routine sample (sample should have been marked temporary routine)that tested positive for coliform. Informed Mr. Hedrick that the sample was incorrectly labeled routine and as a result that routine sample tested positive and that the Playa water system needed to collect three repeat samples. On October 22, Mr. Hedrick contacted Drinking Water Services regarding three positive coliform samples. Informed Mr. Hedrick that he should perform corrective action (i.e., shock chlorination) and complete a Level 2 investigation. After the two items are complete, then the system would need to collect 3 temporary routine, as outlined on data online, samples before the end of October. | ||
