| Details: | Garrett called to ask what types of changes to expect if the school was forced to purchase finished water from another water supplier. He expressed concern that production from the school's wells may decline such that there isn't enough water for the system. I stated that if the purchased water is disinfected surface water, then coliform monitoring would be increased to monthly and that he would need to monitor the chlorine residual at least twice every week. I also mentioned disinfection byproducts monitoring may be required if the hauled water was used for an extended period of time. I added that the additional requirements should not be complicated or overly costly and that there are several water systems that rely on hauled water. | ||
