Our last correspondence was on 11/1/21. We attempted to schedule a water system survey at your establishment. We are writing to you today because your facility incurred a ‘Drinking Water’ rules violation regarding failure to collect microbiology water test samples (coliform bacteria) during the second quarter of 2022. Our online database shows:

The ‘Return-To-Compliance’ procedure is to simply collect a coliform sample as soon as possible/practical.

We still need to schedule a water system survey. While the water system survey should not take very long (since we have done a survey before), we also should perform a bed & breakfast inspection while we are there. So, we should schedule at least 2 hours for the visit.

Hood River County Health Department has recently fallen far behind in performing inspections due to employee shortages and the COVID pandemic disruptions. We need to schedule this inspection as soon as possible. Please contact Ian Stromquist, REHS, directly at: 541-387-7130; ian.stromquist@hoodrivercounty.gov to schedule our visit.

Our last survey of your water system was conducted on: 11/10/2014. Your water system is on a 5-year reoccurring
inspection schedule. This means that your water system has been due for a visit since 2019. Our last bed & breakfast inspection occurred on 11/1/2017. These should occur at least annually.

If we do not hear from you, we may swing by unannounced the next time we are passing by your property and perform the site visit. We recognize that this scenario is the least preferred outcome (for both of us). I look forward to hearing from you soon.
