| Details: | Matt submitted documentation 6/23 verifying 4-log disinfection capability for EP-B Polk/River Wellfield that the confirmed E. coli source SRC-BA Polk Well #1 serves. A letter was emailed to Matt 7/19 approving 4-log disinfection achieving a 0.2 mg/L or higher chlorine residual at EP-B. A copy of the monthly log to report daily chlorine values was included. The well is currently inactive. To meet customer demand, the City will need to use the well this summer. DWS will be notified prior to activating the well and the City will begin reporting daily chlorine residuals for 4-log disinfection. On 7/19, information was received from DWS hydrogeologist that SRC-BA Polk Well #1 meets the WRD construction standards. Due to the proximity to the Willamette River and highly sensitive aquifer characteristics, a GWUDI evaluation will be required. The City will be notified of MPA testing for the GWUDI evaluation. |
