| Details: | Met Howard, Fred and Tom on site to conduct a level 2 investigation following the 3rd TC+ within 12 months and recent E.coli+. Howard explained that 2 small rodents were found in reservoir #2 and had already been removed and reservoir chlorinated to 5 mg/L. There was still detectable chlorine at about 10 am. Discussed resampling once no more chlorine and lifting boil advisory only if all samples absent for bacteria. Discussed ensuring gaskets on reservoir hatches are tight and preclude contaminants. We also discussed possibility of required continuous chlorine, but we did identify and remove the almost certain source of contamination. Provided Howard with a DRC form to complete and submit. Also provided Boil Water Template and explained required language if future boil water notices needed as well as preferred notification techniques such as door hangers, signage at mail kiosk in addition to email and phone. Wait for results of follow up samples to dictate further action. |
