Details: | Background/Problem Identification: The Coos County Parks - Lavern water system has a packaged Seccua membrane water treatment system and during a recent facility survey deficiencies were noted in the facilities reporting. The Circuit Rider was contacted because the Seccua system have the capacity to provide the additional required data for the systems reporting requirements, but the water system operators were not able to access the treat systems reporting software. An additional question was posed during the site trip about where to locate a flow meter to track flows through the treatment plant. Assistance Provided: During our site visit we collected detailed information on the system layout and attempted to connect to the Seccua system using a computer the operator has access to specifically for operating the plant. We reached out to the system manufacture based in Germany and verified the program being utilized is the recommend software and they had no feedback related to the specific issue at this facility. The facility had used a David Funderburk previously for the PLC/SCADA for the facility and he was able to access the operational software so we reached out him to determine if he would be available to help with this current issue. In addition, we reached out to TAG a local company that provides full services to a wide range of municipal and private clients for a wide range of industrial and municipal facilities including water treatment plants of all sizes. There closest office is in Eugene, Oregon and they are willing to schedule a technical to support the needs of the water system. For them to provide support it would be a minimum of $155 per hour and the minimum charge would be approximately $1,250 but depending on the level of support needed the cost could be significantly higher depending on the number of hours required to address the current issue. We did receive feedback from Mr. Funderburk and based on his experience and knowledge of the facility. |
