Details: | Background/Problem Identification: The Coos County Parks – West Lavern water system has a packaged Seccua membrane water treatment system and during a recent facility survey deficiencies were noted in the facilities reporting along with the parks other treatment plant. The Circuit Rider was contacted because the Seccua system have the capacity to provide the additional required data for the systems reporting requirements, but the water system operators were not able to access the treat systems reporting software. Assistance Provided: During our site visit we discussed with the WS representative about the issue & attempted to connect to Seccua system. We reached out to system manufacture based in Germany & verified program being utilized is recommend software & had no feedback related to specific issue facility. The facility used a David Funderburk previously for PLC/SCADA for facility & was able to access operational software so we reached out to determine if he would be available to help with issue. In addition, we contacted TAG a local company provides full services to wide range of municipal & private clients forindustrial and municipal facilities including WTP plants of all sizes. There closest office is in Eugene, OR & willing to schedule a technical to support the needs of the water system. For them to provide support minimum of $155 p/hour & minimum charge approx $1,250 depending on support needed the cost could be significantly higher depending on the # of hours required to address issue. We did receive feedback from Mr. Funderburk & based on experience & knowledge of facility recommend he engaged for issue. Costs should be less than engaging TAG based on knowledge gap they have compared. completed a coordination effort to reconnect Mr. Funderburk with the current facility staff and we will follow up to make sure their current issue with accessing the system data is addressed. |
