| Details: | Contact report 2 of 2: On Wed. 8/17, operator measured 0.17 ppm free chlorine at raw water tap after running 3-5 minutes. Membrane clean-in-place (CIP) chemicals are discharged to settling ponds and then back to the lake, however the last CIP was done April 2022 and the settling pond discharge point appears downstream of the intake so interference from the CIP seems unlikely. DEQ indicated the 8/8 sample would be invalidated due to the matrix interferences and presence of chlorine which may bias the sample results low. On 8/18, OHA advised the operator to collect a raw water sample on Monday 8/22 under the following sampling protocol: make sure TP/DAF is running, flush the raw tap 3-5 minutes, check free chlorine residual, only collect the sample if < 1 ppm free chlorine residual, write chlorine residual concentration on the chain of custody. A finished water sample will also be collected on that date in case there are issues with the raw sample. | ||
