| Details: | I followed up with Brian Hutchins after the 8/24 Level 2 Coliform Investigation at PGE Trojan Park, we discussed the follow-up routine coliform sampling due next month. Brian says that at this point, he believes the water system essentially may have a failed well at this point, and that there may be the possibility of intrusion between a perched aquifer and the Columbia aquifer. Brian is concerned this may spread a plume to other wells. Brian added that the park's well log for Well #3 says it is drilled to 200 feet, however, the water level was showing to be 9 feet below grade. PGE Trojan Park is open to the public up to Labor Day and will (seasonally) close as it reaches the end of its seasonal schedule for the year then. |
