Details: | I spoke with Julene this morning regarding the TC+ result. The standard operating procedure that Julene has established is to take two samples each quarter, one from the raw water tap, and one from a spigot somewhere in the complex. Julene noted that the raw water sample came back negative, while the sample from the spigot that she had to remove a hose from came back positive. Julene does neither flames nor otherwise disinfects the faucet prior to sampling, so it may be that the handling of the hose and spigot prior to the sample caused the contamination. I explained that one repeat sample from the distribution system and one raw water sample need to be taken within 10 days of the original TC+ date. Julene mentioned that there was a medical When I asked about chlorination of the water, Julene said that there is no chlorination occurring now. There is, however, a confusing designation of "first after treatment" on the test results page, which Julene seemed to say was the raw water tap. COLI22533 |
