| Details: | I follow up with the water system regarding their Sept coliform sample. It was collected on 9/14 and had a total coliform detection. The system took one follow up sample after learning of the result. The noted free chlorine residual was 0.2. The system is only using well 1 at this time of the year. The system needs three repeat samples and 1 triggered (pre-chlorination) from well 1. Amy is planning a site visit on 9/20 to assist. Further action may be needed based on the follow up results. Results of the follow up samples were: one coliform detection at a residence (sp. 43) and the others were absent for bacteria. A level 1 form was sent to the system to complete and it was sent in on 9/27/22. The system's chlorination system has not been working (chlorinator piping has major leaks). No chlorine is getting into the distribution system. No further action needed at this time. System to resume regular monitoring in October and is working with the treatment vendor to get the chlorinator working. |
