| Details: | Called the system operator to let him know about the Toluene detect. He said that the detect could be from his sampling location. The previous sampling location (old surface treatment plant) burned in the Camp Creek fire in 2020. He pulled water from a bib outside of the waste water treatment plant. He filled a large container but portioned out the VOC bottles in the lab at the waste plant. Chemicals were around in the plant that could account for a VOC detect. I let him know that a confirmation sample will need to be taken at a better location. He said that he thinks there a sample tap after the storage tank to stand in for an EP sample point, however, the tap is in the woods. He'll try to track it down & take a confirmation sample at this location. A future sampling schedule will be determined based on results of the confirmation sample. A new treatment building is being built & will serve as the future EP sampling location. |
