| Details: | On October 17th, Steve Stadelman, a water system operator with Quincy Water Association, called me about their recent total coliform water sample results, where 1 of their Repeat samples came back as positive. This occurred at the same sample tap that also yielded the Routine positive total coliform sample, a hose bib off of Rutters Road. Quincy Water Association is now due for a Level 1 Coliform Investigation. I forwarded via email a copy of the Level 1 Coliform Investigation form to Steve to be completed and sent back to me and/or Oregon Drinking Water Services. Stadelman said the following of what he thinks might be a contributor to these results: work was done on the system last month. Downstream of the spigot that yielded a positive result, there was a hydrant removed. A number of new system connections were put in, and there was a major water system flush and a spigot that yielded the total coliform positive test is really only used in routine sampling. I mentioned that these are details that can be incorporated on the Level 1 Investigation report, and that it will be due in 30 days from when I sent it to him. |
