Details: | I received an alert on 11/14/22 (Monday) for elevated HAA5 results from sampling on 11/1/22 at sample location “SM-2 - 13405 THOMPSON RD” which was 0.0865 mg/l. Although the individual result was over 0.060 mg/l, this did not result in an Operational Evaluation Level (OEL) or Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) exceedance based on a locational running annual average (LRAA). For 4th quarter 2022, the OEL based on the 11/1/22 sample for HAA5 was 0.056 mg/l and the HAA5 LRAA was 0.042 mg/l. The TTHM OEL was 0.060 mg/l and the TTHM LRAA was 0.049 mg/l for 4th quarter 2022. DBP levels for Nehalem have had seasonal variations and have been in this range before. I e-mailed Brian Moore with Nehalem about the results and although no further action is required at this time, I asked him why the results may have been higher this time. 11-15-22 update by Evan Hofeld (OHA-DWS) - Brian Moore e-mailed back on 11-15-22 indicating that there were no treatment issues and that he thought the elevated results were just due to seasonal source water quality changes. | ||
