| Details: | Site visit to meet new owner/operator Talya and discuss coliform sampling, public notice, etc. There had been some confusion regarding sampling and late repeat samples in May 2018 due to well not producing water when samples needed to be drawn. System was put on monthly sampling in July. System missed September sample but sampled again 10/26. Talya,myself and Emily walked to the site of well AA (Desc 6486) which is outside the pumphouse on the NE corner. A 5 gallon plastic container was covering the exposed well casing but the pump, dishcharge line and wellhead have been removed and the influent line in the pumphouse cut. Currently, it appears as if the system is being supplied water from a 2nd well N/NE of the original well through a valved intertie inside the pumphouse. The 2nd well is located on the adjacent property and is an unapproved source. Talya and I discussed the need for plan review before the new well can be approved for public use or fix/develop another source. System will continue to take monthly coliform samples in the interim. It is unclear how long the 2nd well has been supplying water to the restaurant/store. I will refer plan review, etc to Carrie Gentry DWP. |
