Details: | Contacted Emily and informed her of the + E. coli detection. Emily said they are going to investigate the WS and get the 3 repeat samples and triggered source sample collected asap. Currently there are no known issues with the water system, Emily said there may have been a mixup with a wastewater sample but they are going to investigate further. I emailed them the OHA E. coli letter and copy of the lab report. 11/25/22: Sample was invalidated at request of operator: Hiland Water staff began serving as the DRC at Lakewood (PWS 41-01097) in September 2022 and simultaneously became DEQ operator of record for Lakewood's wastewater collection and treatment system. As preparations are being made to begin discharging wastewater next week in accordance with Lakewood's DEQ permit, our field staff requested paperwork from our office staff for a coliform test at Lakewood. Several mistakes were made in the paperwork as a result of the miscommunication, including listing the drinking water system as the source of the sample and marking it as a routine sample (the monthly routine sample from 41-01097 was taken on November 2). Unfortunately, these mistakes were not noticed prior to submission to the lab. |
