Details: | Today phone contact was made with the operator. It was discussed that all recent sample results were all positive for total coliform. We discussed that the facility is now responsible for conducting a “Level 1 Investigation” This was emailed to the operator. I suggested taking some corrective actions on the total coliform issue. shock chlorination was discussed and I recommended hiring a pump company to do this. Discussed the system's responsibility for conducting monthly coliform sampling 11/28/22 Today phone contact was made with Kerry Adler, operators son, as he had some questions. We discussed the level 1 investigation requirement. The level 1 form was emailed to Kerry as the operators email is not used. The timeline was discussed for returning the Level 1 investigation. Corrective action options were discussed. Checking seal on wellhead, shocking the well were discussed. It was also recommended that the facility reach out to a pump company for assistance in figuring out the coliform issue. Sampling was discussed as well. Recommended talking to local lab about taking samples. 12/20/22 A voicemail response was sent to the operator's son, Kerry. I was answering questions about the level 1 investigation and reiterated the timeline for when it is due. The operator has explained that a pump company had shocked the well a week prior and that the system was ready to take their routine samples. |
