Details: | UPDATE: Arsenic result was not reported correctly. There was never an alert for arsenic at this system. This system remains on 3 year arsenic sampling schedule. Information below is no longer true. I spoke with the Operator of NWHazelnut regarding the recently reported arsenic test with results above MCL. I have asked that they take a confirmation arsenic test within 2 weeks from the same sampling location as the positive result. If the sample confirms the original result, the system will be asked to move from tri-annual testing to quarterly testing. Compliance will be determined based on 2 quarters of testing and a rolling annual average will be used for long time compliance. The Operator agreed to collect the arsenic sample and report it. We discussed the long delay between sampling and reporting noted on this and other tests at the system. The Operator stated they will look into the issue. |
