Details: | Erik Nebeker (Lane County EH Supervisor) contacted Lonny via phone and spoke with him about what the state wants this facility to do with respect to lead and copper testing. Zach Roberts was present during the conversation and took notes to provide to Lonny via email: *Sample 10 taps per 6 months for 1 year. (1st draw, before daily usage begins). Lonnie, you said this facility typically takes 5 samples at a time, so 2 sets of 5 would be fine per cycle. *Sample these 10 taps for lead, copper, pH, alkalinity and temperature. *If it works to do the testing immediately, that is great, but the testing can also carry in to January 2023 if necessary. Just do not test on the first day after an extended break, as it will not give an accurate reading. *The reason for the alkalinity and pH readings is to make sure parameters are being hit and equipment is properly functioning, with respect to the soda ash that is now being implemented to help with corrosion control. |
