Details: Background/Problem Identification:

The circuit rider was contacted by Scott Hess of Hawks Point and he requested assistance with several issues impacting their small groundwater system.

Assistance Provided:

The circuit rider made a site visit on 09/13/2022 to discuss the issues facing the water system. The main issue was the prospect of bringing two wells (Well #1 and Well #2) back online. The system was in the process of reverting back to greensand media to treat for arsenic in the two wells. The circuit rider discussed bringing the wells back online with the third-party operator “Delta Operations” and determined that since this was not new treatment, that application for a DEQ 200J discharge would not apply. The system appears to be “grandfathered” in.

Follow-Up Actions Needed:

The circuit rider is available to assist further with additional issues as needed.
