Details: Background/Problem Identification:

Sportsmans Park is looking for an updated cost estimate to apply for funding to install arsenic treatment on their groundwater system.

Assistance Provided:

Sportsmans Park Water Association (SPWA) is a small community water supply system located approximately eighteen miles southeast of Mt. Hood. SPWA provides potable water to 148 connections (approximately 150 people). Records as far back as 1987 indicate that SPWA has experienced ongoing difficulties with their existing groundwater well that has tested for elevated levels of arsenic. In 2021 SPWA submitted an LOI to apply for funding to add arsenic treatment to their groundwater system. SPWA now needs to include an updated cost estimate for arsenic treatment for their application for SDWRL funding.

Groundwater Arsenic Treatment System

The following is an updated cost estimate to add arsenic treatment to the existing groundwater system. This cost estimate assumes that the arsenic treatment elements can be housed in the existing pumphouse structure.
