| Details: | Visited with operator to discuss that the two routine distribution samples were positive and the third distribution sample did not have a sample site location entered. Operator stated sample was taken from the well. I expressed that it should have been labeled as triggered instead of routine and to see if the laboratory could change that. Upon further discussion the operator stated that the well was shocked and flushed out of sample tap at wellhead, the distribution system was not shocked, thus the likely result of positive distribution samples and negative sample at wellhead. It was explained that three distribution samples are required and one triggered sample. Only two distribution samples were taken because the tasting room is under construction and one sampling location was not available. In the future multiple samples can be taken from same location, but in this case no need to take an additional sample since the situation is already determined to have coliform in distribution system. A level 2 is scheduled for January 4th. | ||
