Details: | 02.13.2023-Jared emailed an update on what's being done to correct the survey deficiencies: 1- Turbidimeter calibration will be quarterly starting April 1, 2023, as this is when they begin getting ready for the season. 2- membrane DIT questions were forwarded to David Funderburk. 3- Jared was instructed to contact Civil West to conduct a new tracer study 4- Hatches will be secured with padlocks. photo documentation will be provided. 5- Each tank has a screened and vented lid on top of tank. photo documentation will pe provided as soon as possible. 6- David emailed me stating that the membrane filter at Hellgate is a pre-filter. It provides no log credits intentionally to reduce monitoring and reporting including DIT and Fiber repair plan. The system should be classified as Bag/Cartridge filter, and they should be using the bag/cartridge reporting forms. I emailed back David, clarifying that in 2014 the water system had completed the installation of cartridge filtration (2-log credit for Crypto) and membrane filtration (4.0-log credit for Crypto). This treatment provided a total of 6 log of treatment for Cryptosporidium. To continue receiving 4.0-log removal credit for Giardia and Cryptosporidium, the water system must provide evidence that the membrane filter operation is LT2 compliant. If the system decides to continue operating the membrane filter as a pre-filter, no log-removal credits will be granted and they will have to either install additional max crypto treatment to achieve at least 5.5 log, or complete two rounds of E. coli monitoring. A time extension has been granted to complete all pending deficiencies. New due date for all pending deficiencies is May 5, 2023. 12.30.2022 - Water system survey report and cover letter emailed to PWS operator. Corrective actions for significant deficiencies identified during survey are due on 02.17.2023. |
