| Details: | Brent contacted me regarding a water line break in the City of Gaston's water system. The incident occurred on Sunday, November 25, 2018. The break has been repaired, lines flushed and coliform samples submitted to lab. Results of lab tests will be available at approximately 9:30am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. The chlorine residual in the distribution system this morning were at 1.4 ppm and the pressure was measured at 80 psi. According to Brent they were able to complete the repairs without completely depressurizing the system. They did drain the reservoir and will not refill until lab results are back. They have issued a cautionary boil water notice to users. Awaiting lab results. |
