| Details: | Hans from Olympic Forest Products gave us an update on the water system after their fire situation. He says that there is a new water sampling port that has been added to the system. Hans says that 4 "special" water samples were collected; 2 of them in distribution tested negative for total coliform, while the 2 samples from the new sampling port, one raw water sample taken before treatment, and another sample taken after treatment but technically prior to distribution, both of those came back as positive for total coliform. Hans believes that the new sampling port needs maintenance or reconfiguration and will resample at both locations afterwards. I mentioned that once those two samples at the newly installed port come back as negative for total coliform, the water system may reopen for use. |
