Details: | Regulator spoke with Ms. Deal and followed up with an email stating the following: Good morning Ms. Deal, The Oregon Drinking Water Program reclassified many of our smaller water systems. The new classification is titled Oregon Very Small Water System and Looking Glass Hatchery is now under this classification. For more information about this new classification, please refer to the following hyperlink: https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/HEALTHYENVIRONMENTS/DRINKINGWATER/RULES/Documents/333-061-0100-ovss-rules.pdf Within this classification the drinking water program reduced the monitoring periods for both total coliform and nitrate and your water system qualified for this reduction. The following bullet points summarize this change. • Total Coliform: Instead of one routine sample each quarter, you now will be required to provide one routine sample each year The following hyperlink documents the new monitoring requirement: https://yourwater.oregon.gov/colistats.php?pwsno=05907 • Nitrate: Instead of one sample each year, you now will be required to provide one sample every three years The following hyperlink documents the new monitoring requirement: https://yourwater.oregon.gov/scheduleschems.php?pwsno=05907 Thank you for being consistent and reliable.
